Overview

Armen Software (IE Armen Yakhshibekyan, Individual Entrepreneur registered in Armenia) operates Chrome extensions, mobile applications, and associated websites and services. This policy covers all products and services operated by Armen Software.

The short version: We collect almost nothing. Your data stays on your device.

Data We Collect

Chrome Extensions

Our Chrome extensions operate locally on your device. As a general principle:

  • All user-generated content (screenshots, notes, summaries) is captured and stored locally on your device
  • No user content is transmitted to our servers unless explicitly required for a feature (e.g., AI-powered features that use API calls)
  • No browsing history or page content is collected

Mobile Applications

  • Mobile apps follow the same local-first approach
  • We do not collect or transmit personal data unless required for core functionality

Per-Product Details

Whole Page Screenshot — All screenshots are captured and stored locally using Chrome's Storage API. No screenshot data is ever transmitted to our servers. Permissions used:

  • activeTab — to capture the current tab's visible content
  • storage — to save screenshots and settings locally
  • tabs — to open the editor in a new tab
  • downloads — to save screenshots to your Downloads folder
  • contextMenus — to add right-click capture shortcuts
  • scripting — to inject the scroll-and-stitch helper into the page being captured
  • unlimitedStorage — to hold multi-segment captures of very tall pages

These permissions are used solely for the described functionality. We follow the principle of least privilege.

Websites

  • We use basic analytics to understand traffic (page views, referral sources)
  • We do not use cookies for tracking
  • We do not sell or share data with third parties

Third-Party Services

  • Chrome Web Store — distributes our browser extensions. Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — used by AI-powered features in other Armen Software products. Data sent to the API is processed according to Anthropic's usage policies and is not used for model training. Not used by Whole Page Screenshot.

Data Retention

User-generated content in our extensions is stored locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the extension. We retain no server-side copies.

Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored data by clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension.
